Structure That Feels Like Home
At Monarch, we understand that recovery isn’t just about staying sober—it’s about learning how to live again, with purpose, presence, and support. That’s why we’ve built our homes to feel like exactly that: home. From comfortable furniture to thoughtful touches throughout, every space is designed to be warm, welcoming, and real. But just as important is the structure that holds it all together. With live-in house managers, built-in accountability, and daily routines that foster responsibility, our residents don’t just stay they grow. Monarch is a place where boundaries are respected, goals are supported, and progress is encouraged every step of the way. It’s not rigid or clinical—it’s steady, reliable, and full of care. This is where life starts to take shape again, and where you build the foundation for what comes next.
Our upscale homes are situated in safe, well-maintained neighborhoods, accurately listed in the cities they reside in, not in surrounding areas. This central location offers easy access to community resources, recovery meetings, grocery stores, public transportation, and hassle-free parking. Most homes have two living rooms and a furnished carpeted garage used mainly for rec room activities like playing instruments, doing craft or art projects, gaming, and times for meditation and yoga.
Monarch is also proud to be a vocal and visible advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and affirming space to heal, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. That belief isn’t just lip service; it’s something we put into practice daily through our inclusive policies, staff training, and the culture we maintain in each home. Our doors are open to all, and we are committed to making sure everyone who walks through them feels seen, respected, and supported.
And while our foundation is strong, it’s the little things, the things that often go unnoticed, that truly set Monarch apart.

Monarch Homes celebrates resident milestone anniversaries and birthdays.
Our house managers are crucial to the integrity of our homes. Selected for their strong recovery and leadership skills, they ensure homes remain safe, sober, and clean. They manage professionally within Monarch’s guidelines, providing consistency, guidance, structure, and compassionate professionalism every day.
Unlike other sober living environments, Monarch limits the number of residents per house, allowing for more overall quality living space and enhanced privacy. Most bedrooms are designed as two-person bedrooms with full-size beds, rather than the typical four-person rooms with twin beds found in many other homes.
At Monarch Homes, we believe that true healing begins in a space where you can exhale. That’s why our homes are thoughtfully designed to offer more than just a bed, they’re a place to find peace, privacy, and the mental clarity needed to move forward. Whether you’re reflecting on your journey, building new habits, or simply catching up on rest, we’ve created an environment that supports your process every step of the way. Quiet surroundings, spacious rooms, and a calm atmosphere allow for deep focus and emotional reset. With fewer residents per home and intentional design choices that promote comfort and ease, you’ll find the space to reconnect with yourself, rebuild your life, and reimagine what’s next. This isn’t just sober living, it’s a space to come back to center.
At Monarch Sober Living, we offer more than just a place to stay; we provide a thoughtfully structured environment designed for those truly committed to recovery. Every home is rooted in support, community, and accountability, creating space for individuals to grow, build routines, and reconnect with themselves and others. We take great care in matching residents through a personalized interview process to ensure compatibility and foster a supportive, cohesive atmosphere. Our homes are fully furnished with comfort in mind, featuring spacious two-person or private rooms, full-size beds, name-brand furniture, stocked kitchens (yes, even baking tools and grills), and premium entertainment setups. Monarch also supports residents through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and offers convenient outpatient services at our Monarch Recovery Centers in Sacramento, complete with complimentary Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) transportation. Whether you’re working remotely, attending therapy, or simply finding your rhythm again, you’ll find high-speed internet, dedicated workspaces, and a true sense of safety and peace bolstered by on-site security measures and attentive house management. With weekly fellowship activities, an inclusive and affirming space for LGBTQIA+ residents, and a culture built on care, Monarch isn’t just a sober living home; it’s the foundation for the life you’re ready to build.
