Recognized by the State for upholding the highest standards, we strive to raise the bar and offer the best sober, supportive homes in the area.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION:

Our upscale homes are situated in safe, well-maintained neighborhoods in Sacramento and San Francisco proper—not in surrounding areas or on the outskirts of town. We chose these locations intentionally. Being centrally located means easy access to public transportation, recovery meetings, outpatient services, grocery stores, pharmacies, gyms, parks, and entertainment. You’re not isolated from the world you’re learning to live in again—you’re right in the middle of it, with everything you need within reach.

FEWER PEOPLE, MORE SPACE:

Unlike many sober living homes that maximize the number of residents per house, Monarch intentionally limits occupancy. That means more living space, more privacy, and a higher quality of daily life for everyone under our roof.

Most bedrooms are designed as two-person rooms with full-size beds and premium mattresses—not the typical four-person setup with twin beds found in many other sober homes. Private rooms are also available. On average, Monarch homes offer significantly more living space per resident than comparable sober living environments.

RECOVERY THAT FEELS LIKE HOME:

We’ve built our homes to feel like exactly that—home. From comfortable name-brand furniture to funky art on the walls, there are thoughtful touches throughout. Every space is designed to be warm, welcoming, and real.

Most homes include two fully equipped living rooms with large HD 4K TVs and premium entertainment channels, a furnished rec room for activities like playing instruments, doing art or crafts, gaming, meditation, or yoga. Kitchens are fully stocked with everything you need to cook or bake, and select homes feature a grill. All linens, bedding, and towels are provided. Laundry is on-site and free—supplies included. Additional refrigerators in each home mean there’s always room for your groceries.

It’s the little things that often go unnoticed that truly set Monarch apart: bedside reading lamps, charging power strips in every room, dedicated workspaces with desks and high-speed internet, access to printers, convenient parking, and space heaters for added comfort. These aren’t luxuries—they’re the building blocks of a life that feels stable and dignified.

Our homes are fully furnished with comfort in mind, featuring spacious two-person or private rooms, full-size beds, name-brand furniture, stocked kitchens and premium entertainment setups. Monarch also supports residents through Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and offers convenient outpatient services at our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Monarch Recovery Centers in Sacramento, complete with complimentary transportation.
